Motor integration
Errors and the motor system
Our motor system is infinitely complex. To try and simplify the beauty of this complex system is necessary to identify predictable patterns and create specific neurological rehabilitative treatment plans. Our motor systems contracts under volitional control, reflexive control, and oscillatory control seen with movements like waking and breathing.
Movement patterns
Identifying movement patterns within neural networks and understanding if those patterns are normal or abnormal can be the difference between a successful neurological rehab plan and a non-successful neurological rehab plan.
Movement and neurological rehab
Our brain and nervous system must constantly process all of our environmental and internal stimuli to coordinate effective and efficient movement. Examples of exercises for movement integration neurological rehab include:
Breathing exercises with or without muscle activation
Soft tissue therapy
Chiropractic adjustments
Muscle activation with specific light or sound input
